Homelessness podcast 3

This is the final podcast I recorded with Dr Beth Watts on homelessness. The UK, and particularly Scotland within that, are almost unique in that we have a rights-based approach to housing: legislation means that virtually everyone has a right to a home and that local authorities have a statutory duty to discharge that right.

Most social policy is not like this – it is conditional and rationed – which makes homelessness services an interesting extreme┬ácase for thinking about how we might introduce a rights-based approach across social policy.
